The Bible makes it very clear that sin is going to be an ever present issue even in the church. Believers at times will sin against other believers and the church. Those sins must be addressed biblically but God wants us to always work towards forgiveness and restoration for those who are repentent. Today Paul is going to show us how and why we should forgive and restore a fallen brother or sister in Christ.
I. Paul forgave he did not embellish or elaborate on the offense. vs. 5
II. Paul recognized the duty of the church to admonish and restore their own. vs. 6-7
III. Paul believed restoration and forgiveness demonstrated obedience. vs. 8-10
IV. Paul knew that sin is an opportunity for the devil to bring division. vs. 11
