The Christmas Story has everything with God keeping His miraculous promises through ordinary people. Today in Luke 1 as we examine the lives of Zacharias and Elizabeth we will see that waiting for God's will to be done in our lives is never a waste of time because our God keeps His promises. Zacharias and Elizabeth were waiting on the incarnation of Jesus and today we wait on the return of Jesus. As we wait to see God's plan fulfilled there are a few things we need to keep in mind.
I. Your Faithfulness is not overlooked. vs 5--6
a. Be faithful to your calling.
b. Be faithful to your promise.
II. Your Frustration could be God’s fulfillment. vs 7-13
a. Trust God's Timing.
b. Trust God's plan.
III. Your Finest hour might not be God’s greatest purpose. 13-18
a. What you hope to achieve is nothing compared to God's plan.
b. Listen to the Lord.
c. Trust in God's plan.
IV. Your failures are not final. vs 18-25
a. God chasten's whom He loves.
b. God's plan can overcome our failures.
