A Godly Home is a Great Witness!
I Peter 3:1-6
Intro: Over the past several weeks Peter has directed us toward Godly living in the two largest dimensions of secular life. Those were the government and workplace. Now we see that Peter is going to give us instructions on how to handle the third area of secular life and that's marriage. Not Surprisingly the Holy Spirit through Peter is going to direct us to submission, love, and faithfulness for God's Glory.
I. Godly spouses witness to ungodly spouses instead of leaving them. vs 1
II. Godly wives submit to their husbands as a witness to them and the world. vs 1-2
III. Godly wives witness to the world through external and internal modesty. vs 3-6
IV. Godly Husbands witness to the world by loving their wives. vs 7
a. They are sensitive to their wife's physical and emotional needs.
b. They protect and provide for their wife.
c. They are their wife's best friend.
