So You Decided to Follow Jesus?
I Peter 4:7-11
Intro: The work of an evangelist is to convert the lost to faith in Jesus Christ. However, converting someone to faith in Christ is only the beginning of their journey. The Bible says that we are to make disciples and teach them to observe what God has commanded. All Christians need to be discipled and we need to disciple others so we are able to live for Jesus after we have decided to follow Jesus. Today in I Peter we are recieving a lesson in discipleship.
I. To Follow Jesus we have to remember that time is short. vs 7
II. To Follow Jesus we have to address our personal holiness. vs 7
III. To Follow Jesus we have to cultivate our love for one another. vs 8-9
IV. To Follow Jesus we have to develop and use our spiritual gifts. vs 10-11
V. To Follow Jesus we have to start with the right intentions. vs 11
